Goals
As your Valencia County Sheriff I will
- Build trust, respect, transparency, and partnerships with Valencia County Stakeholders: Schools, Business Owners, and Community Members by being proactive and accessible.
- Build relationships with government officials, other law enforcement agencies, and prosecutors to voice concerns, negotiate, and/or collaborate for the betterment of the department and the county.
- Maintain a well-trained and ethical workforce by setting professional expectations and metrics to enhance proactivity, professionalism, performance, and accreditation standards that will minimize liability and will increase legitimacy of policing in the eyes of the public.
- Increase alternative revenue by increasing grant submissions.
- Assess and improve policies, supervision, and training, which is essential to the transparent, safe, and accountable delivery of law enforcement services to the community and to the protection of the officers.
